Corrections
Accuracy matters. If you find an error, we want to know.
How we handle corrections
Minor corrections — such as typos, broken links, or small formatting issues — are fixed silently without a public notice.
Significant factual corrections are noted at the top of the affected article with a clear description of what was changed, when it was changed, and what the original text said. We do not quietly rewrite factual claims without acknowledging the change.
If a correction changes the meaning or recommendation of an article in a material way, we add a note explaining the change.
What counts as a correction
- →Factually incorrect statements about protocols, products, or technical systems
- →Outdated information that has materially changed since publication
- →Misattributed quotes or incorrectly cited sources
- →Technical errors in code, commands, or configurations
- →Missing disclosures that should have been included
Report an error
Provide as much detail as possible — the article URL, the specific claim that is incorrect, and what the correct information is.
